    Overview, Information & Brief Analysis

This season, the team has played 17 games so far, with Nikola Jokić finishing ten of them with a triple-double. For him, that’s completely normal. The three-time NBA MVP recorded 17 points, 10 rebounds, and 16 assists against Memphis. Nothing about it was surprising with the way Jokić plays.

This time, he spent thirty minutes on the court – more than enough for him. The hallmark of the game was his half-court three-pointer at the end of the third quarter. Calm, a classic jump shot, as if nothing out of the ordinary had happened. And that wasn’t all.

Nikola made the right pass to Peyton Watson on a spectacular behind-the-back assist a minute before the end while being double-teamed. The Nuggets were without two starters, Christian Braun and Aaron Gordon. Jamal Murray scored 29 points and Peyton Watson added 27.

For the Grizzlies, Ja Morant missed his fourth straight game and Zach Edey played less than six minutes before leaving after taking a hit to the head. Jock Landale got big minutes because of Edey’s injury and tied his career high with 26 points while adding 10 rebounds for Memphis. Jaylen Wells finished with 22 points and Cam Spencer scored 18.

The Detroit Pistons have made a complete transformation from worst to best over the last two years. The Pistons tied a franchise record Monday night with their 13th consecutive victory, 122–117 over the Indiana Pacers. That same streak was accomplished by the 1990 championship team and the 2004 squad in which Chauncey Billups was a key member of that group. They are now 15–2. This same team totaled only 14 wins in the 2023–24 season.

Former No. 1 draft pick Cade Cunningham had 24 points, 11 rebounds, and six assists. One of the league’s best rebounders this season, Jalen Duren added 17 points and 12 rebounds. Caris LeVert scored 19 points as well. They won 122–117, though they almost blew an 18-point lead.

The New Orleans Pelicans halted a nine-game losing streak with a 143–130 home victory over the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday night. Zion Williamson led the Pelicans with 29 points, Saddiq Bey added 20 and 13 rebounds, while Trey Murphy III also scored 20. Yves Missi recorded a double-double of 14 points and 14 rebounds for New Orleans, which picked up its first win since head coach Willie Green was let go and interim coach James Borrego took over on November 15.

The Bulls had three players with over twenty points: Ayo Dosunmu with 28, Coby White with 24, and Josh Giddey with 21, but it wasn’t enough.

Jusuf Nurkić’s Utah Jazz had no answer for Steph Curry, who nailed six three-pointers en route to 31 points. Curry shot 12-for-24 for his fifth 30-point game in the last six. Keyonte George finished with 28 points on 10-for-17 shooting, to go with seven assists and six rebounds, leading Utah, which has now lost four straight and five of its last six.

Golden State wore new “The Town” edition jerseys and took the floor on a matching court to pay homage to the franchise’s long history in Oakland, and celebrated with a 134–117 win. Jusuf Nurkić added eight points and nine rebounds in 24 minutes.

The Sacramento Kings won 117–112 at home in overtime against the Minnesota Timberwolves after being down by ten points late in regulation. With less than three minutes remaining, Sacramento trailed 99–89 before scoring ten straight points. DeRozan hit three free throws — he made all 15 of his free-throw attempts — to give the Kings a four-point lead before Achiuwa intercepted Randle’s inbounds pass.

DeRozan made two more free throws to give the Kings a six-point advantage with 10.7 seconds left, icing the victory. DeMar DeRozan’s 33 points led the Kings, while Keegan Murray chipped in with 26 points and pulled down a career-high-tying 14 rebounds. The game’s top scorer, however, was on the losing side: Anthony Edwards with 43 points.

The Toronto Raptors won their eighth in a row. Brandon Ingram scored 15 of his season-high 37 points in the third quarter, while Scottie Barnes collected 18 points and 11 rebounds. The Raptors defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 110–99. For the Cavs, Donovan Mitchell scored 17 points on a disastrous 6-for-20 shooting night.
